Women Supporting Women
Years ago when a woman gave birth, she was surrounded by other women supporting, nourishing and caring for her and her newborn. Unfortunately in our fast-paced culture, this tradition has nearly disappeared. Women are expected to give birth and right away jump back into household chores, daily activities, and work, without any consideration for the incredible life altering event they have just experienced. A postpartum doula provides the support a new mother needs during those fragile first few weeks after birth. We are there to mother the mother. This support significantly reduces the risk of postpartum depression and anxiety, because it allows you to be well-rested, well-fed, and well taken care of as your body and mind heal and recover from birth.
Postpartum support starts at $25 an hour (Travel fees may apply).
Availability includes 2–4 days of the week, Monday through Friday.
